Red Cross Disaster Volunteers respond to the immediate needs of people involved in disasters of various nature. Available 24 hours / 365 days a year.

Disaster Services    

 

Volunteers provide certification and training in CPR and First Aid, through classroom settings. Provide assistance on many health education topics.

Health & Safety Services

The Red Cross collects nearly 1/2 the nation’s blood supply. Every 2 seconds, someone in a hospital needs blood. Each donor has the potential to helping save the lives of three people.

Provides 24 hour emergency communication and support services to military personnel and their families.

Youth Services

Red Cross Youth Services encompasses all services that the organization provides. We offer youth specific classes such as, babysitting, basic aid training and swim lessons. Our Youth With A Purpose teen group, is organized and run by youth and provides service to the community such programs as the Measles Initiative and support to our Learn to Swim program.

 

The Wayne County Chapter provides many opportunities for volunteers to assist in the community. The Chapter provides first aid stations through the county such as at the Wayne County Fair and Orrville Fourth of July Fireworks. The Chapter also maintains several miles of highway, with our ODOT project .
